Paul S. Avilla
Paul S. Avilla is a trial and appellate attorney with over 26 years of experience litigating in state and federal courts. He has significant experience representing individuals and small to medium-sized businesses in cases involving employment, commercial transactions, real estate and bankruptcy issues. Mr. Avilla is also an experienced appellate attorney and has successfully argued appeals before the Sixth Appellate District of the California Court of Appeal, in U.S. District Court, before the Ninth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Avilla is a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association and has served on the Executive Committee of the Business Litigation Section of the County Bar Association. He has also served on the Executive Committee of the California State Bar's Labor & Employment Law Section and was a member of the California Judicial Council Advisory Committee that helped draft CACI jury instructions for employment cases.
He earned a B.S. in Economics from UCLA in 1982 and received his J.D. degree from Pepperdine University in 1985, where he was a published member of the Law Review and served on the Moot Court Board.
